Andrew O'Shaughnessy teaches at the college Jefferson founed, and he is director of the Robert H. Smith International Center for Jefferson Studies. His most recent book was The Men Who Lost America, on the British officers and politicians who lost the war. His new book looks at a what a difference it made that the Americans won.
